Drone Event @ SJII 2026
During my time working at Future Ready Academy, I was given the task to plan out a way to use drones in 2 seprate tasks. The first being a drone race and the second being a delivery using the drone to carry a package to the end.
I had to come up with ways for the drone to carry a small package and also plan how the drones should fly in the obstacle course for the drone race.
This event was tough to prepare for as before this, I hadn't had any experience with drones. With this unique task given to me, I used this rare oppourtunity to familiarise myself with how drones work and the many factors that can affect its flight.
During the event, I realised that the event was held differently from what I had been told. This led to me quickly having to adapt to the new scenario. I quickly ditched the powerpoint presentation I had created and instead focused on keeping the students entertained which IĀ believe I succeded in doing.
Overall, this event really tested my ability to adapt to new situations and equipment forcing me to quickly pick up knowledge on the equipment, test the planned curriculum along with backup plansĀ and adapt to unforseen circumstances.
I AM TALENTED 2025
This is a programme where we went to SAJC and taught secondary school students on various topics.
For me and my group, we taught the kids how to use a game engine called GDevelop on two seperate days.
I demonstrated how to use GDevelop to the kids as the main presentor for both days and doing my best to ensure that the kids understood the material.
On the second day, we ran out of prepared material so we had to improvise and make up new activities for the kids to do.
My most fond memory of those days was a kid that wanted to save his level to his home computer so I saved his level on my laptop and sent it to him over an email. I was happy because I felt like I inspired that kid that day and I hope to do so again by making games for people.
